The process is designed to be clear, personal, and well-guided from the very first step to your departure.
We support you throughout the journey, helping you make informed decisions and find the best possible school and program for your goals.
Your exchange journey starts with a personal consultation, where we get to know you, your goals, and your expectations for the year ahead.
Together, we will discuss questions such as:
- What would you like your exchange year to look like?
- What sports, activities, or interests would you like to continue?
- What type of school and location would suit you best?
Based on your goals, we will help you understand which programs and schools could be the best fit for you. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the different options available.
Parents are very welcome to join the meeting, and we highly recommend it. Consultations can be held online or in person, depending on what suits your family best.

You can become an UP Portugal Brand Ambassador!
Students can also become UP Global Brand Ambassadors during their exchange year. As an ambassador, you represent UP Global by sharing your authentic experiences through social media, photos, videos, and other content. It is a unique opportunity to tell your story, connect with others, and help future exchange students see what life abroad is really like.
